We are delighted to announce that Tait Flooring has won the 2011 “FLOORING SHOWROOM OF THE YEAR” at the recent ATFA national flooring exhibition and conference. This prestigious award is awarded by the Australian Timber Flooring Association” the peak industry body for the timber flooring products industry. ATFA provide accurate flooring information, training and support for both the Flooring Industry and the community.

The February flooring sale includes a wide range of European Oak products, both pre-finished and un-finished, as well as popular Australian Hardwood species. The pre-finished European Oak products have treatments ranging from hand-scraping and wire-brushing to smoke-treated stains and hand sanding.These products include "Pearl" with a light lime wash and wire brushed surface, "Volcanic" a double stained, sawn texture, "Storm" a gun metal grey, wire brushed finish, and "Chateau" a rich brown, hand scraped board.
The Australian Hardwood species include 180x21mm Standard and Better Grade Spotted Gum and a 180x19mm Standard and Better Grade New England Oak great for staining. We have also sourced Select Grade Red Ironbark in a narrow and wide board overlay as well as Aussie Beech Classic Grade in an 85x19mm and 130x19mm board. We can also offer Prestige Grade Blackbutt in an 86x10mm overlay. These are genuinely reduced prices without affecting quality.

A light lime-washed new addition to our prefinished Oak flooring collection is now available. This wire-brushed engineered Oak floor comes prefinished in a sand coloured base with a white lime in the brushed grain, accentuating the grain variation and lightening the overall colour. 'Pearl' features a distressed look with frequent knowtting occurring within the board, generating a relaxed feel. Colour tones vary from cream to warm honey to light blond.
A 6mm wear solid wear layer of European Oak is bonded to a 15mm multi-layer plywood, providing a long wearing stable and durable floor with a finished thickness of 21mm. Conveniently supplied in easy to manage cardboard cartons. Specification: 220x21x2200mm. On display now at the Tooronga showroom.
