Acoustic Underlays
Tait Flooring can help you with a range of high quality acoustic flooring underlay systems that are designed to reduce foot fall impact in a broad range of applications. Typically acoustic underlays are required in multi-level apartments to reduce noise transfer between floor levels. Our acoustic underlay RV - 4 exceeds the BCA requirements of Lnw + C of 62 for acoustic underlays and is deemed to comply in accordance with ISO 140.8 as defined in AS 717.2 – 2004.
The Tait Flooring showroom in Glen Iris has installed over 200m2 of acoustic underlay beneath solid hardwood flooring for real comparisons. In addition the showroom has created a tiered demonstration platform where you can see the makeup of acoustic and all other floor systems.
Applications
Acoustic underlays cannot be penetrated with any mechanical fixings (nails) and have been designed for use with solid strip flooring, parquetry or engineered flooring.
