Our European engineered flooring utilises a technology that allows the timber to be darkened – naturally.
This technology thermally modifies the timber and uses no chemicals, only heat and steam.
This natural process also modifies the working properties of the timber making it:
- More stable in service
- More durable
- Harder – more resistant to dinting and heel damage
The darkened wood fibre is throughout the depth of the solid wood wear layer minimising the effects of scratching and marking of your floor. Heat Treated Oak is available uncoated and minimises the need for any staining.
