ARCHIVE NEWS >>

Tait flooring has now sourced New England Oak in a 180mm wide floor board. This timber is a uniform light tone and has very pronounced grain making it an ideal timber for staining and an ideal substitute for more expensive alternatives such as US Oak.

New England Oak is similar in colour to Tasmanian Oak and at 6.1 hardness rating is harder than both US Oak and Tassie Oak.
This native hardwood is sourced from sustainably managed forests and is certified under the Australian Forest Management Certification Scheme (AFCS) as part of AS 4708.

This flooring product also fulfils all Chain of Custody (CoC) requirements that tracks forest and wood products through the supply chain from their origins in a certified forest right through to their end use by consumers (AS 4707).

Specification

Size: 180mm x 19mm
Grade: Standard & Better

Note: New England Oak is also available in 85mm x 19mm and 108mmx 19mm both of which can be secret nailed.

A large display of over 40m2 of NEO stained and clear finished is now on display at our new flooring showroom.
